Vigthor Zophoniasson is a crossover artist performing in opera, musical theatre and puppetry. Vigthor has performed regionally in productions for Quality Hill Playhouse, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Spinning Tree Theatre, StoneLion Puppet Theatre, Theatre for Young America, Springfield Regional Opera, and The Great Plains Theatre. This past year, Vigthor made his directorial debut with Bye Bye Birdie at St. James Academy and subsequently returned to direct You Can’t Take It With You. Most recently, Vigthor appeared as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, for which Encore Michigan praised his “strong and vibrant voice.” In September Vigthor will perform on The Artist Series and teach a master class at Waldorf College, return to Theatre for Young America in October and Quality Hill Playhouse in November for their Christmas Show, as well as debut at Chestnut Fine Arts Center in the spring of 2016.
