About The Theatre
The Old Creamery Theatre is a professional, not-for-profit theatre company founded in 1971. The Main Stage is located in the historic Amana Colonies and provides comfortable seating for 302 guests. There truly is not a bad seat in the house! The Studio Stage is located in Middle Amana and offers an intimate experience with seating for 75 guests. There is also a talk-back with the cast after every show on the Studio Stage.
Founded in 1971 the company purchased a building in Garrison that once served as a dairy co-op. In 1988, in an effort to attract a larger audience base, they began performing in the Amana Colonies, and in the course of nine years, they closed Garrison and made their home in Amana.
